Near the city of Maniche, not one but 3 communities were blessed recently. People of the area had been waiting for our team for a long time. Representatives of the 3 communities went to the Water for Life office in Les Cayes to check on the status of their respective requests. We were thus able to explain our approach to them; bringing water which is life to those who need it is also a powerful testimony to the life that Christ gives us.
Then we went to drill and install these 3 new wells which are now changing the lives of the inhabitants.
At Water for Life, when asked why we get involved in areas that are often forgotten, why we continue to help people we didn’t know before, we say that everything we do is to show the love of Christ. Mark 9:41 tells us, “Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.” (NIV)
